Edgware maintained their excellent start to the season with a clinical performance against Windsor at Stag Meadow this afternoon

'The Royals' had a 100% record from 3 games going into the match but that record was to be torn up as Edgware put on a scintillating performance.

Just as at Hanworth 4 days earlier, it was Edgware who started on the front foot, Nile Waite putting Edgware in front on 15 minutes, Caoilan McGettigan's cross finding Waite at the far post who slotted home for 1-0

Windsor were struggling to cope with the high tempo of Edgware's game and on 21 minutes Waite got his brace, a loping cross from Kleon James on the right was met by Waite's header at the far post for 2-0

'The Royals' were handed a penalty on 33 minutes, Charlie Losasso redressing the balance somewhat as the teams went into the interval with Edgware leading 2-1.

The next goal was always going to prove vital, and it fell to 'The Wares' just 6 minutes into the second period, McGettigan turning goal getter after another perfect delivery by James for his second assist, the young winger poking home his effort at the far post for 3-1.

Rather than resting on thier laurels, Edgware piled on futher misery for the home side, on 63 minutes Novell Sony - Bruce with his 4th goal of the season.

In truth it could have got even worse for Windsor but at the final whistle the vocal travelling support were rewarded with the players coming over to celebrate a throughly satisfying result.
