These two Middlesex clubs served up a pulsating evening of football in this the first ever meeting between the clubs.

'The Wares' led 3 times but had to settle for a share of the spoils

First half goals by Kleon James and Theo Offori gave Edgware a 2-1 lead at the interval.

Novell Sony - Bruce made it 3-2 with a worldly before being pegged back at 3-3.

Edgware got off to the perfect start, in the 5th minute, a move which involved seven players, playing the ball from back to front with 9 passes, resulted in right back James firing home with a angled drive for 1-0

Edgware played some scintillating football in the first fifteen minutes, 'The Viilans' struggled to get to grips with the pace of Offori and Mo Kahdum.

The hosts began to ease their way back into game and on 22 minutes were level, Ben Merson son of Arsenal legend Paul, credited with the goal after a unfortunate deflection sent the ball past Michael Angzu in the 'Wares' goal.

Right on half time Edgware regained the lead, Offori in front of goal had time to place his shot perfectly past Buss for 2-1

The second period much like the first was played at breakneck speed, 'Villa' restored parity in the 64th minute, Elliott Simpson's shot just evading Anguzu to make it 2-2

As the game swung back and forth it resulted in two goals in 4 minutes, Sony - Bruce with a strike of the highest quality, his lob from all of 40 yards in the 70th minute left Buss all ends up to put 'The Wares' back in front at 3-2.

Hanworth hit back with a quick response, a ball played from their right delivered with precision to the far post found Sam Merson on for his brother Ben who scored with his first touch to make it 3-3 in the 73rd minute.

Both sides had opportunities to win the game, Nile Waite finding himself with space inside the box, his pass to Caoilan McGettigan forcing the 'Villans' custodian to pull off a match winning save.

Hanworth broke away and it appeared would snatch a dramatic stoppage time winner, Angzu pulled off a heroic double save to deny them.

On reflection the result was a fair one, both teams contributed to a scintillating game of football, a great advert for the new Division.
