The proverbial game of 2 halves. The game played out on a good pitch and a reasonable crowed for a Tuesday night. It was pretty even in the first half though with accuracy marks going to the Wares.

Both teams played some good football playing through the thirds with no real dominance but the Wares where to strike first with a shot/cross from Page that sailed over the keeper into the top far post 0-1 and on 45 minutes the Wares forage and fashioned another goal as a ball is struck from inside the box, was saved and then was put across the back post where Page lurked to poke home 0-2.

HT: 0-2

A siege ensued right from the start. It was effectively backs against the wall but this did not tell the whole story. The Wares were organised and worked hard to contain the game. It was in effect a master class of game management, defending resolutely and countering when the opportunities arose. The Wares made their first substitution in the 59th minute that saw Price come on for Amoah and Eynesbury countered a couple of minutes later with their fresh legs. They make their 2nd in the 75th. The Wares make their final substitution in the 83rd. As time moved on however, Eynesbury just piled on the pressure with a shot every second play and right up to the last minute but the Wares match their persistence.

FT: 0-2
