An outstanding performance from the Wares with 21 attempts at goal to Baldock’s 13 but only 14 of those were on target to Baldock’s 10. The Wares were also caught offside a fair bit. With only the one goal at half time it felt comfortable but that’s not to say that the opposition didn’t have their moments.

It was a fairly open 5 minutes as both teams tried to gain momentum, Baldock with the first attempt of the game. From then the Wares slowly built up pressure and in the 12th minute were 1 up as Azab runs into the box and strikes home 1-0. Baldock have a 5 minute spell where they rally and have 2 attempts straight at the keeper. Then a bit of end to end stuff with the better chances going to Edgware as momentum built again taking the game into the break.

HT: 1-0

The first 10 minutes of the second half was a bit of horse trading as again the 2 sides try to get on top. The Wares then get a hold of the game with several attempts before Ofori hits a ball from outside the box, saved by the keeper for Page to collect slide across the box and Ofori to follow up  for a 5 yard tap in 2-0 (61’). Then Page in the 66th minute receives a lovely through ball with his first touch taking him towards the keeper to pass into the net 3-0. Baldock bring on 2 pairs of fresh legs straight after. In the 74th minute Amoah comes on for Carruthers just before a long ball bounces just in front of Ofri who from outside the box lobs the keeper 4-0. A minute later Page made way for Price. The Wares last substitution saw Benavides on for Ofri to see out the game.

FT: 4-0
