The Wares were dominant throughout of the game but some good football was played by both teams. The Wares had 17 attempts at goal to Levi’s 7 but just 9 were on target to their 3.
There were 36 minutes of dominance with Leverstock involvement really trying to break up play with 2 breaks that led to 2 attempts at goal. Levi gain a little momentum towards the end of the first half given that the Wares were not putting their chances away. It was a little unfortunate that the Wares went in at half time with nothing to show for their efforts.
HT: 0-0
The second half was much the same but had goals to prove their dominance. It took 15 minutes and several prior attempts to get things going when a great cross field ball was beautifully taken down by Azab who then slotted home. Leverstock made their first substitution in the 65th minute and the Wares followed suit when Issa replaced Amoah. Levi then made a second a couple of minutes later with their final one just after. That didn’t make any difference to the Wares who then double up in the 77th as Ofori picks the defence apart. Levi were awarded a penalty in 82nd which was duly converted. Carruthers came on for Ofori in the 86th and Flannery on for McCluskey to see out the game.
FT: 2-1
