Despite the scoreline it was a pretty even game. It was all Wembley in large patches but it was a good first half for the Wares nonetheless. Despite Wembley having started the stronger both teams had their spells in the second half and the Wares made the most of theirs.. Wembley piled on the pressure late on. The Wares were excellent at seeing the game out.

The first 5 minutes were dominated by Wembley and their first shot on 6 minutes came off the top of the crossbar but a moment later a ball was fired over the Wembley back 4 for Adam Page to chase who worked himself around the defence to fire passed the keeper 1-0. Both Steven Benavides and Ryan Carruthers had attempts at goal before the 20th minute. Wembley then dominated the game up to halftime.

Eisa Azab started the second half with a caution in the 47th. Hani Issa replaces Felix Amoah in the  58th and a minute later Dan Pett picks up a ball in midfield drives forward into the Wembley half and puts in a through ball for Steven Benavides to latch onto and put passed the keeper 2-0. Wembley kept pushing and an innocuous cross that should have been cleared fell into the path of the Wembley striker for a tap in 2-1. In the 77th minute Wembley make a substation and Edgware make 2. Theo Ofori came on for Adam Page and George Harsini came on for Steven Benavides. Wembley had their tails up and kept knocking on the door. George picked up a caution for delaying the start of play in the 84th but minutes later made amends when Issa put in a cross from a free kick which he met to put over the keeper 3-1.

FT: 3-1
