In a repeat of the last fixture things changed little. A good first half but just not able to penetrate. To be fair the game was pretty even right the way through. The game settled by a free kick that shouldn’t have been given but the luck is against you….

Both teams had their chances in the first half but the better chances fell to the Wares. A mysterious penalty was awarded to Crawley and duly dispatched. Martin Flannery was cautioned shortly after in the 22 minute but it just wasn’t that type of game. Several opportunities more came and went but you could feel that it wasn’t going to be long before we saw a goal in open play.

HT: 0-1

The second half was much the same affair with chances falling to both teams but it was the Wares who made the breakthrough in open play early in the half with McGleish taking his chance 1-1. The game fretted backwards and forward but Marsh forced Frazer Siddle into a good save. George Harsini came on for Steven Benavides and Adam Page on for Martin Flannery almost in quick succession around 65 minutes. Some good football by both teams played and in good spirit so it was a surprise that Ryan Carruthers picked up a caution in the 67th minute. The game continued to be end to end but in the latter stages the Wares concede a string of free kicks around the box. One of these was converted into the top right corner of the goal 1-2. The Wares tried to get back into the game but too late.

FT: 1-2
