Wares played really well mixed uo and getting the ball upfield. On the ball they were good throughout the game but didn’t really have an end product. Defensively just can’t contain them. At halftime 2-0 down you would have been forgiven if you thought that if the Wares were to get a goal things could turn for the better but it wasn’t to be. Wingate were definitely fitter and faster and more accurate. Took all their best chances.

Stats showed 15 attempts at goal for Wingate with seven on target to the Wares’ 5 with 2 on target. Wingate scored in the 9th to make it 1-0. It took 11 minutes before the Wares go a shot off with Theo Ofori twice in 5 minutes. Wingate scored again in the 21st minute and it was pretty much one way traffic 2-0 but when the wares did have the ball they played nicely and kept the ball to play forward. Getting into the box was an issue but Adam page struck the bar on in the 25th minute which got everyone’s hopes up. It then took up to the 41st minus to see the Wares shooting again.

HT: 2-0

Second half stats showed 15 attempts at goal for Wingate with 7 on target, 2 with 1 for the Wares. It was all over very quickly in the second half when after Wingate having had a string of chances the Wares first real bit of action was replacing Mikkel James for Eisa Azab in the 57th minute. 2 minutes later it was 3-0. The second bit of action for the Wares was another substitution in the 69th when Mohammed Jahazi came on for Dion Marshall. Felix Amoah came on for Adam Page in the 73rd. Wingate also made 3 substations in quick succession adding 3 more goals to the tally one of which was in fact a dubious penalty…

FT: 6-0
