The game started well for the wares as very early pressure paid off after only 7 mins when Tyriq hammered the ball home from a few yards out after some good work from Claudio 0-1. A great start but it was short lived as on 12 mins a good header from the Biggleswade forward made it 1-1 after a great ball into the box. The wares then took the lead for the second time on 17 mins with a powerful header from Mark Burgess from a Ryan Carruthers corner 1-2 to the joy of the 3 Edgware travelling supporters (where were you all?). The rest of the half was pretty even with a few chances falling to both teams.

HT 1-2.

The second half started with both teams going for it with good attacking play from both sides. Then on 62 mins the ref awarded a penalty to Biggleswade after what seemed like a very good tackle from Sam which even the supporters of Biggleswade standing around us thought was harsh. A booking for Sam and a cooly taken penalty made it 2-2. The wares battled hard to win the game like they always do. There was only one scare in 77th minute when Biggleswade put the ball in the net, only for the linesman to raise his flag for offside to the relief of the wares fans. The rest of the game was played out fairly evenly and on reflection a fair result...apart from the penalty.

FT 2-2.
