Beaten by a better side. Despite doing well in the first half and almost matching the opposition Biggleswade stepped up a gear in the second half.

From the off Biggleswade were trying to impose themselves on the game. The Wares had a slow start but did get back into the game after about 10 minutes, the Wares having their first shot with Hani Berchiche. The game ebbed and flowed with both sides having spells of possession. The Wares stand-in keeper Daniel Perdue pulled off a good save in the 27th minute to keep the Wares in the game. Hani Berchiche had another go at goal in the 34th minute where the game seemed to be a tactical battle of attrition for both sides with Biggleswade just shading it. In fact this created slightly more momentum for the opposition just before half time in the 41st minute with a Biggleswade corner that led to to goal, bundled in.

HT - 0–1

Lolu on for Petrit Krasnaqi at the start of the second half. The Wares started well and Hani Berchiche had a shot at goal however, this good start did not last long. Biggleswade changed tact and avoided going around and decided instead to go through the middle. Disaster struct in the 51st minute when a ball was played into the box and the receiver was fouled and a penalty awarded, 0-2. It was one way traffic from then. Rio Beech picked up a caution on 55 and on 58 minutes Mikkel James came off for Steven Benavides. Another ball delivered through the middle and into the box by the Biggleswade Midfield led to their lthird goal, 0-3. One last substitution in the 63rd minute saw Ryan Carruthers make way for Reon Thomas. Hani Berchiche forced a save from the keeper before Biggleswade scored their 4th. The Wares on the break force another save and moments later 0-5. A mini revival saw both Rio Beech and Steven Benavides have another go at goal each. The 85th minute brought an Biggleswade’s 6th and final goal before the Wares with their never say die attitude pulled one back when Steven Benavides struck a forceful shot from outside the box for a pit of pride.
