A thoroughly deserved 3 points

The first 15 minutes of the game weren’t particularly good for the Wares as Leverstock struck first blood on attempts at goal. However, on 9 minutes the Wares put on a lovely move which culminated in the ball being moved around the edge of the box and Dan Pett strike hitting the underside of the bar for the Wares first goal 1-0. The Wares then picked up the pace and possession and on 20 minutes another great move ended when Ryan Carruthers deftly struck home 2-0 and shortly after that on 33 minutes Lolu took on the Levy left back and with his strike scores past the keeper's near post 3-0. It should have been all over but to the amazement of everyone the referee awarded a free kick to Leverstock for something or other, to the left hand side of the box which was converted with a flicked header to the back post 3-1.

HT - 3–1

The Wares never really got any form of a good spell of possession but decided instead to soak up pressure and ask questions of the Leverstock attack. Leverstock make an early substitution in the 49th minute however not much changed and picked up 2 cautions born out of frustration. The Wares on 73 minutes bring on Denis Maharjan for Ryan Carruthers and Levy make another sub at the same time. Much the same as as before but the Wares start catching Levy on the break. Steven Benavides is replaced by Hani Berchiche in the 81st minute. Slightly after Levy actually have an attempt on goal, neatly pushed in the right direction for a clearance by Cain Davies. Little else happened in the game but as the final whistle goes a fracas ensues between members of each club after previous scorelines are brought up.

FT - 3-1
