Biggleswade Utd 0-2 Edgware Town Att:83

what a performance. Every single player was outstanding. Starting with Jack Ward centre half, and Brian Mooney left back, with new signings Kevin Maclaren and Aaron Morgan straight into the side. Very even 1st 30minutes then Jack Ward got a straight Red for a raised foot. Seemed little harsh but from then on the wares started to play, and looked the better side for the next 15 minutes. HT 0-0. The 2nd half the wares defended unbelievably well, George McCluskey who dropped back into ch was immense alongside Marksy. Brian Mooney looked like he had played left back for years. Wares looked dangerous on the counter attack, and Jay Molloy missed a good chance to put the wares ahead. Fab brought on Mansaray with 30 minutes to go for Smart, and what an introduction as his scored with his 1st touch after great work from the outstanding Luke Durnin, and a super cross by Molloy. Then the defining moment of the game, the home team were through on goal, just about to score and Mooney made a last ditch tackle to stop them, the away fans went wild. Straight up the other end, and Adem Ali, who had come on for Luke Durnin scored a second, after beating a couple of defenders on the way. Great 3 points to get the season going.
