Despite an early lead by the visitors the game was dominated by the Wares with 14 attempts at goal and 10 on target to Broadfields 4 and 2 respectively. While the Wares were more dominant there weren’t to many long passages of momentum. There were about an even numbers of corners but a double yellow made life harder for Broadfields. The Wares made all 3 of their substitutions.

Not much happened within the first 8 minutes then out of the blue a central ball over the top led to a foot race where the Broadfields striker caught up with he ball just after a bounced which allowed him to lift it over Siddall 0-1. Within the next 10 minutes or so both Benavides and Page have attempts at goal. Broadfields in the 30th minute have to make an early substitution and 5 minutes later Horan picks up his first caution. The last 10 minutes were dominated by the Wares with several attempts at goal but none could make a difference before the break.

HT: 0-1

The start to the second half ebbed and flowed with both teams trying to make an impact. First attempt at goal came form Page 4 minutes in. The next 10 minutes forge the way forward for the game. McGleish makes way for Ofori in the 52nd, Horan picks up his second caution reducing Broadfields to 10 men in the 59th and Taylor converts the resulting free-kick into the top righthand corner 1-1. IN the 63rd Pett comes on for Carruthers a minute later and Azab picks up a yellow for an innocuous challenge. Broadfileds rally for a bit but fizzles out after several corners come to nothing. In the last 15 the Wares pushed for the winner and it came from a corner with a spectacular volley from Ofori 2-1. Added time saw the Wares score a 3rd when Amoah crossed a ball met by a great late run from Taylor 3-1.
