Edgware Town FC never really got going during their encounter with Tring Athletic as they fell to defeat this weekend despite a flurry of half chances and two goals. A strange one.

It had been coming, after a sustained period of pressure, Tring Athletic scored a well deserved goal. There were no arguments about that one. Time of goal: 8 minutes. There was then a sustained amount of pressure from the Wares for the next 5 minutes with 11 gone a good through ball to Morgan saw his shot is blocked. For the next ten minutes or so the game was end to end. Then on 30 Tring have a good chance from a header but it goes just wide.6 minutes later Tring have a free-kick in a dangerous positions but with no result. With 5 to go Harry saves and Alex has a shot blocked. A furious battle with a last minute attempt by Lolu.

A rough start with Ricard Alexander-Greenway booked in the 49th minute, receiving a yellow card for a bad tackle. The Wares got their reward though when in the 51st minute Paul Marks reacted first to the ball and hit a crisp strike straight into the back of the net. Shortly after disappointment was in the air for Edgware but Tring Athletic were happy with this one, capitalising on a well worked opening, they took full advantage with a superbly taken goal 1-2. After some excellent play, the Wares they were awarded a penalty. There was no chance of the keeper saving it as the resulting penalty was excellently taken by Ricard Alexander-Greenway. Goal time: 57th minute 2-2. In the 62nd minute, Eisa Azab went into the book receiving a yellow card for persistent fouling. With 65th minutes on the clock, Tring Athletic took advantage of a spell of possession to score a nicely taken goal 2-3. Edgware Town FC rushed back to the half way line to get the game restarted. Changes in the 66th minute for Edgware Town FC as Omalolu Onabolu is replaced by Khalil Francis. Changes in the 69th minute for Edgware Town FC as Ethan Mooney is replaced by Shammer Swaby. Paul Marks was booked in the 71st minute, receiving a yellow card for a bad tackle. In the 82nd minute, Fergus Moore went into the book receiving a yellow card for dissent. Changes in the 83rd minute for Edgware Town FC as Eisa Azab is replaced by David Barbagallo.
Tring went further ahead in the 84th capitalising on a well worked opening, they took full advantage with a superbly taken goal.
