At half-time the Wares were down 2 but all to play for with some good chance keeping optimism up. Leighton probably deserved their lead as the Wares seem clueless at times but occasionally came up with some good play the only real worry was that they had not had a shot at goal. At full-time the Wares finished 1-4 down. Having got themselves back in the game at 1-2 the Wares then threw it all away. 5 defeats and a draw in 6 games.

The Wares kick off and it took only 4 minutes for Leighton Town make their presence felt with a free kick that goes straight to Cain. A couple of minutes later though some good pressure from the Wares create some forward momentum but on his debut Theo’s puts in a good cross that goes across the face of goal and out. On 8 minutes more good play from the Wares sees the keeper save bravely. There then followed a long delay in the 11th for an injury to the Leighton Town keeper. The keeper eventually had to be stretchered off with a knee injury. Jordan who was also caught in the collision was also taken off for Lolu. The game resumed and on 22 a goal for Leighton, a shot from outside the box beats Cain. Then 4 minutes later 26 Leighton score again from a cross as the ball is headed in. Just before half-time Leighton have another opportunity with the ball going just over.

HT 0-2

Leighton get the second half going and the first action of the half go to the Wares in the 56th with a Marksy header but saved by the keeper. They game is a fairly midfield affair and it tool another 5 minutes or so before changes were made. On 60 Steven was on for Ryan. 3 minutes later Leighton Town stick in a swinging corner but is saved at the near post by Cain. On 65 Theo has a good chance from a tight angle and then finally on 75 Gooooooaaaaaaallllll The Wares float one in and Theo scores, the ball bounces enough for him to head in his first goal for the Wares. Tails up the Wares start to push fo the equaliser as Benavides hits the post and in the 89th Matthew also making a debut for the Wares on loan from Hendon has a shot just wide. It all get hectic form there and as the Wares continue to sniff out a draw all hell breaks loose as in the 90th a goal goes to Leighton, Denis somehow plays the striker inside and the 14 finishes past Cain 1v1. Two minutes later again with the Wares really frustrated pushing all players forward another goal for Leighton Town. Another counter as the ball is won deep inside their half and in 2 passes the 14 is put through again to finish in another 1v1 with Cain.
