At halftime it was 0-0 but an entertaining half with both teams playing decent football, Biggleswade probably just on top. The 1-0 scoreline at the end hid a great game of football. The game was always going to be won by the odd goal and maybe a draw was a fairer result but what an entertaining game of end to end football with the ball staying mainly on the floor, credit both teams for that.

The first shot came from Biggleswade at about 10 minutes. Not long after on 13 they had another shot but wide. By the 15th the game had evened out with both teams playing good football. The Wares first attempt at goal was in the 16th with a good chance but Tom couldn’t lob the keeper. There was a good attack form the visitors in the 23rd minute but Conor pulled off a good double save to keep the game at 0-0. A minute later in the 24th there was a shot and a save in the opposition end before seeing the 28th minute out with good play from the visitors having a weak shot straight to Conor. Shortly after Sam blocked a volley that went for a corner as Biggleswade put some pressure on in the 31st minute. Ryan had his shot is saved straight after. With 8 minutes to go before halftime Biggleswade applied lots of pressure but the Wares defence stood firm.

HT: 0-0

The second half started relatively slow and it took until the 49th minute for the Wares’ Rio to have a shot that flies over. The game hotted up and in the 53rd minute as the Wares made a sub with Ivan caming on for William. A minute later a shot from the visitors goes high and wide. In the 58th minute there was a good interchange between Ivan and Tyrone that saw a shot saved by the Biggleswade keeper. A minute later the Wares made a second sub when Lolu came on for Tom and made an immediate impact by hitting the bar. 62 gone and good pressure from the Wares liven things up further until the 68th when Conor made a good save to his right and play resumed with a quick counter and Goooooooaaaaaalllll Lolu with stinger into the bottom corner (1-0). The game continued to please and in the 72 minute a great ball from Rio to Lolu saw his shot just go over. With 75 gone another sub for the Wares; Jadell on for Tyrone. 3 minutes later the visitors applied more pressure and had a shot that flew over. The game closing on 81 minutes saw another shot from Biggleswade that sailed wide but pressure was still on. With 5 to go a good shot from Rio was equally well saved by the keeper and a minute from time the Wares were playing on the counter and Lolu fired just wide. The last action of the game saw the visitors go close with a header just wide.
