League game played away (but at SJP) Tuesday 10th April

Wares had a comfortable first half and had to battle a bit harder in the second to stay in control.

 

The Wares started in control and continued in that vein for most of the half. Dan Pett scored in the 10th minute calmly taking the ball inside the box and slotting it passed the keeper 0-1. Mark Burgess had an attempt at goal with a firm header but was parried away. Seconds later the Biggleswade goal keeper tried to kick the ball out of his hands but was impeded by Hani Berchiche who received a caution. London Tigers had a couple of attempts at goal all off target mid way through the half. With about 7 minutes to go both Ryan Carruthers and Lolu had attempts at goal before Lolu smashed one in before the break 1-2.

 

HT - 0–2

   

London Tigers started brighter and in the 47th minute made their mark with a ball struck that swayed in the air in 2 different directions wrong footing Alfie Bonfield 1-2. Tigers picked up 2 cautions for late challenges just before Lolu had an attempt at goal in the 62nd minute. The Wares then made 2 substitutions in the 67th minute with both Ronny Mfinda and Ryan Carruthers making way for Mikkel James and Tyrone Mulholland. Lolu had another attempt at goal before a final substitution for the Wares in the 82nd minute where Hani Berchiche made way for Christian Londono. In the 83rd minute Mikkel James deftly chipped a ball to lob both defender and keeper from outside the box that narrowly missed the goal. Just before the match ended a London Tigers' player received 2 cautions in quick succession, one for a challenge and one for dissent.
