The Wares look rusty after the Christmas break, Wembley with most of the territory and possession  but arguably the Wares with the better chances and certainly the more clinical.

Both teams started slowly and it took the first 10 minutes before one team took hold of the game. Wembley were the first to up the tempo and Edgware were relegated to counter attacking but producing some good chances. The last 15 minutes or so the Wares restored the balance of play.

HT - 0–0

Wembley were out of the blocks first in the second half with 2 quick fire attempts at goal within the first 3 minutes however 2 minutes later they were made to pay for their lack of finishing as Luke Durnin took his opportunity to put the Wares 1-0 up.  The Wares continued to create chances until the last 15 minutes when Cain Davies pulled of a great save to keep the Wares ahead. Shortly after the Wares were awarded a penalty put away by Dan Pett but were back to defending and seeing the game out.
