A good 3 points. Barring 10 minutes at the start and at the end the Wares had the better of the game. The referee meddled, failing to control the players and making strange and inconsistent decisions throughout the game but didn’t in the end change the deserved win.

The Wares got off to a very slow start. Hoddesdon fired two shots on target early on but comfortably taken by Cain Davies. Edgware then got a grip on the game and in the 15th minute are awarded a free kick on the edge of the area. Tommy Walsh steps up to take and as it leaves his foot and goes over the wall it was only ever destined for the top corner. Dan Pett, Ronny Mfinda, Tommy Walsh and Rio Beech all have a go at goal before the frustration builds for the away side and pickup their first caution of many. Hoddesdon then managed to see out the first half but not before Tommy Wash is handed a caution for a late challenge.

HT - 1–0

The Wares came out the blocks in good positive fashion form the start of the second half, Lolu forcing the keeper into a save early on. The game was fairly even for a while and on 56 minutes Thomas comes on for Mfinda. Shortly after a horrendous challenge on Dan Pett earned the Hoddesdon player just a caution. Minutes later Hoddesdon were awarded a penalty that was superbly anticipated by Cain Davies to maintain the scoreline constant. In the 70th minute Lolu was taken down by the last man just outside the box on his way to having a clear goal scoring opportunity with only a yellow card awarded to the Hoddesdon player. In the 75th minute Ryan Carruthers came on for Andrew Manitou. The last 10 minutes were backs to the wall stuff as the opposition tried to get an undeserved point out of the game, the Wares defending excellently and resolutetly.
