Edgware fielded a depleted side with 5 Players missing through injury, holiday and suspensions, somewhat usual for this time of the season. Kicking down hill but into a strong wind, the Wares struggled to settle. Leverstock played good football and took the lead early from a good move. The ball was crossed and then tapped in from 6 yards. The Wares got though to half-time thankfully only 1-0 down due to Cain’s great save to stay in the game. Hanni replaced by Stuart just before halftime.

Second half saw Edgware starting better but still struggled for any fluency. Levi making the best of the chances and on 68 minutes Luke came on for Alfie. We went three in the middle and it changed the game. We looked a little more threatening going forward and started to create a little more. With the game ebbing and flowing we were awarded a free kick in the 93rd minute. After much debate and a timetable of 2 bookings, Ethan Mooney stepped up to take. He struck the free kick from just outside the penalty area and in off the bar leaving the keeper no chance. Leverstock just had time to kick off before referee blew for full time to send the Wares into a replay on Tuesday night.
