Edgware Town 2 v 2 Southall

1 out of 1 and onward. Edgware Town meet Southall for their second preseason game. The line-up for ETFC was very similar to Saturday, several regulars and several new faces with the inclusion of Dan Pett and Mark Blackburne. The game started with little action in either final third with one or two half chances going either way. Southalll played a little more football while Edgware were more direct however, there were some very good passages of play where patient build up produced the best moves leading to the best chances. A goal come out of the blue with Ethan Mooney finishing well. A few more half chances and the first half finished 1-0.

A very similar second half but Southall hit the back of the net early with quite a bit of confusion defensively. Not to worry though as Edgware in their best phase of the game produce some good final third entries capped off by a Dan Pett goal. The game evened out with some more half chances and Southall clearing a ball off the line to stay in the game. The last 10 minutes had Southall piling on the pressure with the Wares still trying to counter late on in the game. In the last minute of the game with a suspicion of offside, the last shot of the game made it 2-2. Uneaten in 2!
