Edgware town 2 v 0 Biggleswade United Att: 89

The first half was full of half chances for both teams, with many wayward shots or comfortable saves for both keepers. On the 17th minute, Ferrari played a dangerous ball into the box, unfortunately no clinical finishing touch, with the ball going out for a corner. The resulting corner was delivered in, going over everyone, and being chipped back in for Durnin to hit the back of the net 6 yards out, Edgware 1 Biggleswade 0. The first half again continued in the same manner as before the goal, both teams having chances, but not quite impacting enough to change the score line. As a result, we took a 1-0 going in at half time.

The second half was much a better spectacle, with it being a very quick paced; Biggleswade looking for the equaliser and the Wares looking to extend our lead. Our second goal came very early on in the second half; Ferrari on the 50th minute. Again, another cross was delivered in, and being cut back at the back post for another close-range goal. Edgware 2 Biggleswade 0. Biggleswade began to become more of a threat as the game went on, in the hopes of finding a way back into the game, but we stood strong at the back, preventing them finding a way through. On the 76 minute, Biggleswade had their best opportunity of the game, as they were awarded a penalty. Davies got down to his left well to save though, keeping the score at 2-0. We saw the game out well to the final whistle, winning 2-0, a vital three points and massive win against a very good Biggleswade side. We go again Saturday against Hadley in the hopes of another 3 points, and finishing the season of at home with a win.
